Course Description

Employers are becoming quite creative in the unique benefits they offer to attract and retain top talent. Fringe benefits are a form of compensation for the performance of services. Today’s employees are seeking such benefits as part of their total compensation package over those merely providing a better wage.

Besides discussing recent “innovative perks” offered by companies today, we will detail many of the common fringe benefits that are excluded from taxation as described in the IRS Publication 15-B such as:

  • Athletic Facilities

  • Awards, Prizes, and Employee Gifts

  • De Minimus Fringe Benefits

  • Educational Assistance

  • No-Additional Cost Services

  • Working Condition Benefits

Join this informative session to get a firm footing on fringe benefit opportunities, taxation considerations, and common questions.

Learning Objectives:

  • Identify current employee fringe benefits

  • Recall the tax issues associated with providing fringe benefits

  • List tax exclusions identified in IRS Publication 15-B
